Hi all. My friend just downloaded avg 8 and she is using windows vista. When I tried to start the avg interface I got some message saying this program has stopped working or something. So my friend was wondering if you had any ideas on how to fix this problem.

Most likely your friend is a Jaws user. It is actually a Jaws issue and has nothing what so ever to do with Vista. It happens on XP machines too. She needs to download the latest version of Jaws if she can and the problem will be solved.

Well, all I can tell you is that from the problem you're describing, it doesn't sound as though she does. She needs the very latest Jaws 9 patch. If you're thinking that she has Jaws 9 installed and that's the latest version then you're wrong, LOL. It isn't. If I'm wrong and she has updated her 9 with the latest patch already then I'm sorry, but from what you're saying, that is her problem.

yeah, make sure you have the latest patch for jaws 9, that should help. i had this problem, and that patch fixed it completely.

Yeah, or go in to the Jaws help menu, and press C for Check For Updates, check any checkboxes. This should resu.lt in the latest patch.
